Grace is abandoned by her mother when she is only six months old. She is raised by an old man named Mbuyache, who lives in the village of Nsampha in Mwanza District, Malawi. After ten years of living with Grace, the old man dies. His death triggers a series of events that affect Grace’s dream of obtaining higher education.
Grace is so determined to achieve her dream that she overcomes several forms of abuse throughout her life. Life’s challenges do not distract her from her determination to succeed. She goes to university and later becomes a role model.
