Hypertension or High Blood Pressure is one of the healthcare concerns in Malawi and beyond. It is commonly referred to as a Silent Killer Disease because a person can suddenly develop complications like stroke or if worse die without showing any signs and symptoms.
Prevention through awareness and screening can play a big role in fighting Hypertension as most risk factors are things we can control in our day to day lives like eating unhealthy foods, lack of physical activities, tobacco smoking and alcohol consumption among others.
In this book i share how my personal interactions with various individuals in Malawi and beyond led me to contribute to the fight against Hypertension through Mentorship, Membership, Collaborations. Networking and of course challenges faced.
Among others this book aims at inspiring people from various backgrounds that they can do something in contributing to national development; also underscoring the notion that personal ambitions can positively impact communities with support from various stakeholders at all levels.
Read the book and know more about Hypertension including preventive measures and if possible get checked for BP; preferably in a group.
